Thanks to the OSU Buckeye Hop!!!

  • The Ohio State University Stone Laboratory’s Buckeye Hop was held on October 21, 2017. LEIC Board Member Ken Farber met participants Cassandra Craig, Susanna Olsavsky, Megan and Chris Corwin, at the Massie Cliffside Preserve with tools and water. Thanks to organizers Sue Bixler and Kristin Stanford at Stone Lab. The crew mulched trails at the Massie Cliffside Preserve and moved aspalt and concrete debris into piles for removal In the area of the Massie Drive. They enjoyed their sack lunches at the Farber residence and then were joined by Joe and Michelle Pennington, Dave Ganzfried, and Julie Conroy at the Scheeff East Point Preserve where they helped with some much needed trail maintenance. We really appreciate and look forward to this volunteer event every year! Last year they planted trees at the Massie Cliffside Preserve on the site of the old pole barn-trees are doing great. Thanks again to Kristin Stanford, Sue Bixler, Kelly Dress, and Sheila Lewicki of the Ohio State University Stone Lab for organizing the volunteers and all who participated and made possible the 2017 Buckeye Hop!!!
