Take the Ohio Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan Survey

We need your input for the future of Outdoor Recreation in Ohio!!

Whether you are a planner, promoter, user or observer of outdoor recreation in Ohio, you can provide valuable information that will be helpful in determining future projects, programs and policies!

Ohio Department of Natural Resources is again updating the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan or SCORP in 2018.  It is necessary for states to update their SCORP every 5 years to participate in Land and Water Conservation Fund programs (used for funding of the Middle Bass Island East Point Preserve.)  But it is also a valuable tool for resource managers to make wise choices when providing new and improved facilities that Ohioans want.

Information to be included in the SCORP will be gathered through public meetings, research and the attached survey.  We would appreciate you not only taking the survey, but also sharing it with your extended networks!  The higher the participation rate, the more information we will be able to gather and share.

The SCORP survey is launched and will be open until March 8, 2017!  Please provide the link through your organization and personal channels as soon as possible – websites, social media, newsletters, emails, etc.  Any Ohio resident (one per household) may take the survey.    If you need help launching on your web site, please let ODNR know.
