Attached is our spring Conservancy newsletter! Thanks to editor Michelle Pennington for another nice job! hard copies will be coming by mail unless you have requested e-mail only. Please let us know if you want to be added to that list.
We have information on our native plant and tree sale and also on upcoming programs. Be advised that any of our Conservancy events may be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Please monitor our Facebook, website, and will keep in touch by e-mail on these. Earth Day will be celebrated individually-check out the checklist developed with the Lake ERie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center in our newsletter. The Village Tree Commission will not hold a public Arbor Day program this April-they will hold a private tree planting later.
Get out and enjoy our island preserves as the Dutchman’s breeches are budding up at the Jane Coates Wildflower Trail. An eastern phoebe showed up in my yard this am to remind us spring is here
Just remember how far to stay apart for social distancing-six feet. I like the analogy of a a turkey vultures wing span as we have enjoyed alot of these lately!
Please be mindful of others by keeping your dog on a leash and picking up after your pet using the bags and containers provided. No pets are currently allowed at the Jane Coates Wildflower Trail as posted.
Be careful to use hand sanitizer if touching a bench or brochure box and avoid congregating in large groups in the parking areas.
