Where is Middle Bass Island?

Middle Bass is an island in Lake Erie near Port Clinton, Ohio. Visit MiddleBass.Org

How do you get there?

Please Note, the Ohio State Park Marina is now fully booked up the day of the festival.

Here are the options for getting to Middle Bass Island that do not require your own boat:

Sonny S from Put-in-Bay to Middle Bass Island.

Sonny S is a frequent water taxi service between the two islands. Once the show is over the crew will be running the shuttle back and forth until everyone who is waiting in line gets back to Put-in-Bay.

Miller Ferry from Catawba Island to Middle Bass.

This is a great way to the festival from the mainland. However, the last Miller Ferry back on Saturday is at 5:15 pm. So this won’t work if you want to stay until 7:00 pm and the end of the show. The solution for getting back is to catch the Sonny S to Put-in-Bay. Once there, take a short taxi car ride to the Miller Ferry dock on the other side of South Bass Island. The Miller Ferry runs later night services from South Bass back to Catawba Island.

The taxi car ride is about $3. Phone 419-285-6161 or book online

Jet Express from Port Clinton to Put-in-Bay.

This is another great option from the mainland. To get to the show, first, take the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay. From there, get the Sonny S to Middle Bass Island. When returning this route also works well because the Jet Express runs boats back to Port Clinton late into the night.

Check the boat company websites for more details.

Hope you on Middle Bass Island. It’s going to be a fun day!
