The bad news was that the Put-in-Bay Township Park District Levy Issue #18 was defeated on Tuesday but by not as large of a margin as the first attempt. Thanks to all those who did support this effort!
The good news was that on Thursday morning the Clean Ohio Conservation Fund awarded the Put-in-Bay Township Park District $600,000 toward the purchase of the Duff Vineyard property!! It was for the open space portions of the property – not the vineyards themselves. But with the over $180,000 that the Conservancy and Park District have raised with the help of this community, we are at almost $800,000 toward the 1.1 million purchase price!!
