We had a great time on Island Style Giving Tuesday 2024! Over 30 people visited all three nonprofits open Tuesday, December 3. The Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center (LEINWC) offered a family scavenger hunt and snacks, the Lake Erie Islands Historical Society (LEIHS) had movies and popcorn, and the Lake Erie Islands Conservancy (LEIC) opened the Duff Homestead and Bayfront Preserve Visitor Contact Station/Office with holiday hot wine and cider. At the Duff Homestead, those who came with a skeleton key got a prize.
A gift basket of goodies from the three groups was raffled off to those that went to all three locations. Liesl Jackson won the basket drawing.
At the Duff Homestead for the LEIC, Kendra Koehler, Susan Byrnes, and Lisa Brohl set up and decorated. Patty LoPresti donated meat for minisubs and Dustin Heineman wine for hot mulled wine. Other snacks were provided by Lisa Brohl and Marty Faris.
The LEINWC, LEIHS, and LEIC all wish to thank those that came out and visited and those who donated remotely as well! It was a good event for all three!
