Spring Migrants on the Lake Erie Islands

Our island preserves are so important as stop over habitat for these colorful birds as they make their way north. Our shoreline forests provide cover and those large clouds of midges or Chironomids we see are important food resources. Watch this migration taking place with s or sw winds coming up.
